Junking is in the air...
Junking is in the air...
As the warmer winds of Spring rustle the smells of the coming sunshine, it's time to put your
comfy shoes and favorite sweatshirt on and head out on a good junk jaunt! We're excited to be
back in Lake City at The Antique Shopper on Lakeshore Drive. Yes, it's a new location with a smaller space, but it's going to be full of great finds! You will notice a different look to our wares as we concentrate on antiques mixed with modern and industrial. As always, our prices will be affordable and we will offer a quality selection.
If you have any questions or would like pricing on any items you see on our site:

A touch of color can do wonders...
These pillows turned out a bit whimsical, but who doesn't need a little whimsy
in their life every now and then? I had a bunch of small pillow inserts (thanks to
my sister-in-law Lori Waller for donating these) and decided to use up
some fabric scraps I purchased at a quilt shop. For some reason, I'm drawn
in their life every now and then? I had a bunch of small pillow inserts (thanks to
my sister-in-law Lori Waller for donating these) and decided to use up
some fabric scraps I purchased at a quilt shop. For some reason, I'm drawn
to flowers and so it seemed only natural to add them to the pillows. I
machine stitched the flowers and hand stitched the stems and buttons.
You can find these little cuties at the Antique Shopper starting
April 1and at Uncorked Junkmarket Style at the
Four Daughter's Winery in Spring Valley May 18-21.

Re-purposed Frames for Spring!
We all seem to have those empty frames lying around our homes. Here's an idea to reuse those frames....
I removed the backing from the frame and cleaned the glass. Flowers are a good visual items which lasts through two seasons so I hand painted the flowers to the back of the glass.
Now to the piles of scrapbook paper in my cupboard...
I selected a complimentary color and then
added a phrase which I printed
from my computer.
Tape the individual words to the paper and then insert
the paper into the frame overlaying the painting
Put the backing on and
you now have a handmade piece of wall art.
Enjoy!
